A Little Extra for Fun
A True Tale of Road Rage from long ago
Some forty odd years ago, a farmer was patiently waiting to let his herd of cows in from a field that was a few hundred yards up the road from his farm, and on the other side. Being early summer and a lovely sunny evening, there were a lot of cars returning from the beach. Seeing that the traffic was getting quieter, he decided at last to let the cows down the road. He went to the field and opened the gate. The cows, having been waiting, immediately filed out of the gate and down the road. Now a herd of cows cannot all get through a gateway all at once, so it took a few minutes for them all to come out. By the time the last one was out, the first had already reached the farm, with the ones in between spread out over the road. The traffic from the beach could obviously not proceed down the road until the cows had gone. The first driver behind the cows was rather impatient and drove his car very close to the last cow to hurry it up. This cow had been leisurely eating lovely fresh spring grass all day, and now , with all this exercise, she needed to pass some of this on. She lifted her tail straight out behind her and let it go. The car was vitually repainted a dark green colour. The driver, with his windscreen completely blocked, stopped. Winding down his window, he shouted to the farmer - "Hey! What About This !". The farmer glanced at his car and said - "That's all right, sir...... if nobody claims it within seven days, you can keep it."
